Description
Patricia Mulholland returns to her first love, music, in a rich selection of piano, vocals, cello and violin, ranging from original tunes to classic Joni Mitchell to Bach and adaptations of Chopin and Debussy. Cellist David Darling and son, violinist Patrick, join her on several tracks. Described by Progression Magazine reviewer, Eric Harabadian as a "beautiful and accomplished work... suggesting artsy divas like Tori Amos and Kate Bush." "Her voice has a deep, haunting quality that is etheral and dream-like."
Patricia is currently a student at Berklee College of Music, working toward Music Therapy certification. She is among the winners of the 2007 Berklee Songwriter/Performer Competition for "If You Were Coming in the Fall," the first in a cycle of songs with lyrics by Emily Dickinson. "Solitude of Space," on "Coming Home" is also part of this song cycle.
Teacher/collaborator David Darling describes her music as romantic impressionism and her work as "deep, passionate artistry."
